NWS Internet News Update For Week Of 03/07:

El Matador On The Jersey Shore, NWS/WSU Women's J-Cup and King & Queen Tournaments Announced, And More
Hello NWS fans! This is your weekly update on what's happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation's leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows This Weekend
This coming Saturday night March 12th, NWS debuts at the Old Bridge, NJ Knights of Columbus Hall (61 Pine Street, just off Route 18), with a 7:35pm bell time.
Former WWE TV and WrestleMania superstar "El Matador" Tito Santana has been a WWE Intercontinental Champion, Tag-Team Champion, and WrestleMania star (starting with the very first one), and in Old Bridge he will step through the ropes once again to match holds with an as-yet unnamed opponent.
In addition to Tito, the fans will be treated to not just one, but *TWO* NWS title matches. Newly-crowned NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral will defend the title in a rematch against the two former champions he defeated to win the title last month, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie and Jumping Joey Janela. And NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans will defend his belt against a newcomer with a score to settle with Oceans, The Jersey Kidd.
And when we say big stars are coming to Old Bridge, we mean "big" as in the 900-pound undefeated Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & Ra-Fu) who will be on the prowl. They will be joined by regional and local pro mat stars such as Danny Inferno, The Zoo World Order, J.T. Highlander, "Cannonball" Jeff Guerrero, "Retro Rocker" Ricky Roxx, and much more, including an appearance by Grand Knight Carlos Garcia as a guest manager.
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.
Tickets are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.
Results From Last Weekend

National Wrestling Superstars returned to the Jersey Shore on Saturday night March 5th at the Island Heights, NJ Fire Company Hall, with a near-capacity crowd and lots of hot action (had it gotten any hotter, the fire department personnel would have been called to duty for sure).
In the opening contest, which was for the number-one contender to the NWS Heavyweight Title, former champion Ray-Ray Marz and ROH star Judas Young fought to a ten-minute time-limit draw. Marz, anxious to get another shot at his belt as well as prove himself in front of his hometown fans, fought a tough bout with Judas, who was looking for his first chance at gold in NWS. After a back-and-forth match, Marz powered out of a sleeper hold by Judas and slapped on a sharpshooter hold in the center of the ring, but before Judas could tap out, the bell sounded indicating the time-limit, and the match was declared a draw. The fans clamored for five more minutes, Marz was certainly willing, and Judas said that even though he could care less what the fans liked, he agreed with them and wanted the match to resume. But Judas then immediately attacked Marz before the referee could call for the bell, and Commissioner Moore threw out the match and ordered a rematch when NWS returns to Brick, NJ at the end of April.
In a non-title match, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans (with manager Captain Johnny Kool) defeated former ECW star The Zombie (with Island Heights Volunteer Fireman "Odd" Todd Tumbles in his corner). The two veteran stars fought hard, but towards the end Zombie had the upper hand as he powered out of a moonsault from Oceans and leveled him with a DDT and an F-5. But before he could get the pin, Captain Johnny Kool distracted the referee, and former ECW star The Equalizer and Danny Inferno ran into the ring and attacked Zombie while Judas Young also came out and helped distract the referee. Equalizer and Zombie rolled Oceans on top of the beaten-down Zombie, and the referee turned around and counted the 1-2-3 for Oceans. An angry Zombie attacked and laid out Oceans before leaving the ring to fan cheers.
In a six-man tag-team rematch from the last Brick, NJ show, where Falls Count Anywhere, Team Jersey Shore (NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks & Slayer) vs. "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & Jumping Joey Janela & Bobby Youngblood ended in a double-disqualification. The match was a wild affair from the start, spilling out all over the fire company hall, with chairs, belts, garbage cans, and anything else not nailed down. The referee was pushed around as wrestlers each tried to pin an opponent, only to have another wrestler interrupt the count and make a pin attempt on someone else. Referee Sargeant Jimmy Storm eventually had enough of this and ordered the wrestlers back to the ring. When they refused and continued brawling on the outside, he started counting, and when he reached ten he called for the bell and threw out the match. The six wrestlers continued to brawl with each other, and attacked the referees and security personnel who tried to break it up. The fight only broke up when Commissioner Moore himself got in the wrestlers' faces and got them to finally stand down. The disgusted Commissioner saw that putting these wrestlers in tag-team matches was a bad idea, and ordered that in Brick, NJ in late April, the six would wrestle in three separate singles matches, Janela vs. Slayer, Havoc vs. Jersey Shore Jock Chris D'Andrea, and Youngblood vs. Jersey Shore Jock Mike Dennis.
In another rematch from the last Brick, NJ show, "The Bounty Hunter" Johnny Ringo (making his NWS wrestling debut, with Island Heights Volunteer Fireman "Odd" Todd Tumbles in his corner) vs. former NWA Canadian Champion "The Hockey Goon" Rocco Dorsey (with manager Captain Johnny Kool & Judas Young in his corner), with Father Ozzie as the referee, also ended in a double-disqualification. Johnny Kool attempted to bring his entire stable to the ring, as Danny Inferno and The Equalizer also came out with him, but Commissioner Moore pointed out that they were not in the contract as cornermen, and sent them back to the locker room. The former police offiicer Ringo was impressive in his debut, showing his power early. Rocco's extra cornerman gave him an edge during the match, but Rocco could not put Ringo away because Father Ozzie still had difficulty counting past two. After Ringo powered back and leveled Rocco with a DDT, Captain Kool distracted the referee and Judas slipped Rocco a "Wet Floor" sign which he used to level Referee Ozzie and attack Ringo. Ringo tried to fight off both Rocco and Judas, but was soon outnumbered four-to-one as The Equalizer and Danny Inferno ran back to the ring and the four pummeled him. The attack was broken up when The Zombie, followed by "Atomic Dog" Ali and former WWE hall-of-famer "El Matador" Tito Santana ran out to the ring and chased the attackers away. Inferno and Equalizer were furious, and promised to destroy Santana and Ali in the main event. Meanwhile, Commissioner Moore threw out the match between Rocco and Ringo, and ordered a rematch in Brick, NJ at the end of April, with Father Ozzie as the referee again (they promised to help him with his counting skills), and to prevent outside interference, the ring would be surrounded by wrestlers in a Lumberjack Match.
Boricua Bad Boy Tino won by disqualification over "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie. Tino surprised the crowd by holding his own against the veteran Smoothie. A frustrated Smoothie tried to choke Tino into unconsciousness, and Referee Mike Jones eventually had to physically pull Smoothie away from Tino after Smoothie ignored his warnings. Smoothie's temper got the better of him and he leveled Referee Jones with a low blow and a DDT. Commissioner Moore called for the bell and disqualified Smoothie. Smoothie kept up the attack on Referee Jones, and only stopped when Commissioner Moore threatened him with immediate suspension.
In the Main Event tag-team match, former WWE superstar and hall-of-famer "El Matador" Tito Santana & "Atomic Dog" Ali (with Island Heights Volunteer Fireman "Odd" Todd Tumbles in their corner) defeated former ECW star The Equalizer & Danny Inferno (with manager Captain Johnny Kool). After failing to match wrestling holds with the veteran Santana, Equalizer and Inferno concentrated their attack on Ali and tried to wear him down in their corner. But Ali eventually powered out of a sleeper hold from Inferno and head-butted him out of the ring, ducked out of the way of an Avalanche from Equalizer, and tagged in Santana. Santana cleaned house on Equalizer and Inferno. After Todd Tumbles stopped Johnny Kool from bringing a chair into the ring, Santana locked Equalizer in a Figure-Four Leglock in the center of the ring, and Equalizer tapped out, giving Santana and Ali the victory to close out the show.

Other Upcoming Shows

Friday night March 18th, NWS returns to the Jersey Shore area at a brand new venue, Long Branch, NJ's newly-renovated Bucky James Community Center (231 Wilbur Ray Avenue, just off Route 36, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:45pm bell time.
And a spectacular main event for NWS' debut at the Center has been signed. In one corner will be a former NWS Heavyweight Champion and mainstay, making his first appearance in NWS in many months, "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto, teaming with his friend and veteran northeast circuit wrestler (and international star) Danny Inferno. Their opponents will be Jersey Shore favorite and big man "Atomic Dog" Ali, and his partner, former WWE TV legend and Hall-of-Famer "El Matador" Tito Santana!
In addition to this former WWE champion, NWS champions will also abound in Long Branch, as NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans", and NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers will all be in action.
And for a big night like this, no one is bigger (literally) than the 900-pound undefeated pair of monsters known as The Nigerian Nightmares (Ma-Fu & La-Fu). Other regional and local pro mat stars seeing action will include "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, Jumping Joey Janela, Chikara Pro Wrestling star Frightmare, "Retro" Rocker Ricky Roxx, Team Crazy Horse (Indian Chief Draven & "The Warrior" Jack Spade), plus retired Eatontown wrestler and now "Bodyguard For Hire" T.N.T, and much more!
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.
Saturday night March 19th, NWS returns to Stirling, NJ's Long Hill Township Community Center (264 Warren Avenue, minutes from I-78), with a 7:35pm bell time.
And after two highly successful shows, how do you top it? The only way NWS knows how... make it a "Steel Cage Mania" night, with the main event taking place within a fifteen-foot-high steel cage. And don't put just any opponents in the cage... but a former ECW TV hardcore icon, the "homicidal-suicidal-genocidal" Sabu, who will battle a veteran of the ring wars (and at least a few steel cage matches himself), former NWS Heavyweight Champion "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which should not be missed.
NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers will also be on hand in Stirling, along with NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans, NWS Tag-Team Championship co-holder & Jersey Shore Jocks member Mike Dennis, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, ladies' wrestling stars Niya and Marti Belle, and much more.
Tickets are only $20 and all seats are ringside.
Friday night March 25th, NWS debuts at the South Amboy, NJ Middle & High School Gym (200 Governor Harold G. Hoffman Plaza, just off Bordentown Avenue & Broadway, minutes from Routes 9 and 35), with a 7:45pm bell time.
In 2011, NWS is looking to raise the bar, and that night it will be raised all the way to the gold standard, as in former WWE superstar "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin. This former WWE Intercontinental, Tag-Team, and United States Champion, and one of the most accomplished amateur and pro wrestlers ever to enter the squared circle, will be making his first ever appearance in NWS, and for one night only, so this is the one night you do not want to miss.
Also making a rare central Jersey appearance for NWS that night will be another former TV wrestling star, the arrogant former ECW & TNA star Julio Dinero, who will (as always) be accompanied by his beautiful but devious manager Miss Michelle. And speaking of devious, the fans will delight in the devious antics of The Famous TV Wrestling Clown.
There will also be a pair of NWS title rematches in South Amboy. NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers will defend his title against the man he defeated for the belt last month, Ray Ray Marz. NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea) will defend their titles against the duo who nearly dethroned them in their last meeting, "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans. Plus, NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral will also make an appearance.
And on this big night of action, they won't come any bigger than the 900-pound undefeated pair of monsters known as The Nigerian Nightmares (Ra-Fu & La-Fu). They will be joined by other regional and local pro mat stars.
Tickets are only $20 for ringside seats and $18 for bleachers.
Saturday April 2nd, NWS returns to Kearny, NJ's Presbyterian Boys & Girls Club (663 Kearny Avenue, minutes from Routes 21 & 280) for two huge blockbuster shows with sister all-ladies promotion, Women Superstars Uncensored.
That afternoon, beginning at 2:35pm, NWS and WSU will present the 2011 Women's J-Cup Tournament, where some of the top female wrestlers on the circuit today compete for the prestigious J-Cup Trophy, and a future shot at the WSU World Title, in a one-show single-elimination tournament. And speaking of the WSU World Title, the title-holder herself, and one of the top female wrestlers in the world, "The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez, will be making an appearance as part of this event.
And that evening, beginning at 7:35pm, NWS and WSU will present one of the most unique annual events in pro wrestling, the 2011 King And Queen Of The Ring Tournament, where the best male and female wrestlers are paired together in inter-gender tag-teams to compete in a one-night single-elimination tournament. This night will be punctuated by appearances by former WWE star and "Spirit Squad" member Kenny Dykstra and former ECW & TNA star Julio Dinero (with his manager Miss Michelle).
Tickets for each individual show are only $19 for adults and $16 for kids & seniors, and a combination ticket to both shows are at the even bigger bargain price of only $28.
